Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson return in 'Conjuring 2' trailer

LOS ANGELES, March 27 (UPI) -- The creepy, 2 1/2-minute trailer for The Conjuring 2 has been seen nearly 1.3 million times since Warner Bros. posted it on YouTube Saturday.

"The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren," said a synopsis for the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster.

The new film sees Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprising their roles as the Warrens, "who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits."

Directed by James Wan and featuring Frances O'Connor, The Conjuring 2 is to open in theaters June 10.
