Ryan Gosling, Russell Crowe are on the case in latest 'Nice Guys' trailer

LOS ANGELES, March 23 (UPI) -- Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are on the hunt for a missing woman in the latest trailer for their upcoming film, The Nice Guys.

The new clip features the duo failing horribly at their jobs as they navigate a violent and colorful 1970s Los Angeles with bodies piling up around them.

Gosling stars as bumbling private detective Holland March who enlists the help of confident hitman Jackson Healy (Crowe) in order to find the missing Amelia portrayed by Margaret Qualley.

"The Nice Guys takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star," reads the film's synopsis.

"During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power," it continues.

Directed by Iron Man 3 helmer Shane Black, The Nice Guys arrives in theaters May 20.
