Harry Styles to co-star in Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk'

LOS ANGELES, March 12 (UPI) -- Filmmaker Christopher Nolan has hired One Direction musician Harry Styles to play a role in his upcoming World War II action-thriller Dunkirk.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed Styles will make his acting debut alongside Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh.

Production is to begin in May on the film, which is about the British military evacuation of the French city of Dunkirk in 1940.

The movie is scheduled for theatrical release July 21, 2017.
