'Deadpool' tops the North American box office for a third weekend

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds, is the No. 1 movie in North America for a third weekend, Rentrak announced.

The R-rated superhero flick earned an additional $31.5 million from Friday through Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Gods of Egypt with $14 million, followed by Kung Fu Panda 3 at No. 3 with $9 million, Risen at No. 4 with $7 million and Eddie the Eagle at No. 5 with $6.3 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Triple 9 at No. 6 with $6.1 million, How to be Single at No. 7 with $5.2 million, The Witch at No. 8 with $5 million, Race at No. 9 with $4.3 million and The Revenant at No. 10 with $3.8 million.
