LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Tyler Hoechlin has signed on to play fictional author Boyce Fox in director James Foley's Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey.

Based on E.L. James' bestselling, erotic novels, the Fifty Shades movies star Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. The next movie in the franchise is scheduled for release Feb. 10, 2017.
Hoechlin, 28, is best known for his work on TV's Teen Wolf.
