The last film in the S&M trilogy is currently in development at Universal as both Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will be filmed back to back and released within a year of each other.

Both films are set to be directed by James Foley with a script by Niall Leonard, who is married to series author E.L. James.

Kebbel, most known for her roles on Gilmore Girls and John Tucker Must Die, has recently appeared on UnREAL, The League and The Grinder.

The casting comes after actress Kim Basinger signed on for Fifty Shades Darker as Christian Grey's former lover Elena Lincoln, who first introduced him into the world of S&M.
