LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- TriStar and The Jim Henson Co. are working on a new Labyrinth movie.

The Hollywood Reporter said Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman is writing the script, but it is unclear whether the picture will be a remake or sequel to the 1986 David Bowie-Jennifer Connelly cult classic.

Fans expressed online their love of the original, musical-fantasy flick when Bowie died of cancer earlier this month.

The movie -- about a teen-age girl trying to rescue her kidnapped baby brother from a goblin king -- was the last Henson helmed before his death in 1990. It was penned by Monty Python troupe member Terry Jones and executive produced by George Lucas.
