LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Paramount pictures and Nickelodeon movies have released the first full trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
The new footage features the iconic heroes in a half shell, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo exhibiting their trademark humor and fighting skills against a new enemy threatening New York City.
Newcomers for the sequel include Arrow star Stephen Amell as the hockey stick wielding vigilante Casey Jones, and Gary Anthony Williams and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus as Bebop and Rocksteady, fan-favorite henchmen from the Turtles '90s animated series.
April O' Neil (Megan Fox) and her bumbling cameraman Vernon Fenwick (Will Arnett) also return as they once again attempt to help out the four brothers as they battle with Bebop and Rocksteady who were transformed into monstrous creatures by scientist Baxter Stockman played by Tyler Perry.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 opens in theaters June 3, 2016.
Earlier this month, a new trademark was filed revealing the existence of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game entitled "Mutants in Manhattan." The new title was listed as under development at independent Japanese studio Platinum Games with Activision listed as the publisher.
