Gerard Butler returns in 'London Has Fallen' trailer

The movie is a sequel to the 2013 film "Olympus Has Fallen."

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- London Has Fallen released a first full-length trailer starring Gerard Butler.

The 45-year-old Scottish actor returns as Mike Banning, the skilled secret service agent in charge of protecting U.S. President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart).

The preview sees Agent Banning attempt to keep president Asher safe after terrorists attack London during the British prime minister's funeral. The mastermind, Barkawi (Alon Aboutboul), seeks to kill Asher himself to further his fiendish agenda.

Morgan Freeman also returns as Vice President Allan Trumbull, with Angela Bassett as secret service director Lynne Jacobs, Robert Forster as Army Gen. Edward Clegg and newcomer Charlotte Riley as a British MI6 agent.

London Has Fallen is a sequel to the 2013 movie Olympus Has Fallen, and opens in theaters March 4. The first movie focused on a North Korean attack on the White House, and earned $161 million at the box office.
