'Goosebumps' is the No. 1 movie in North America with $23.5M

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Jack Black's family-friendly fright-fest Goosebumps is the No. 1 movie in North America, having earned $23.5 million this weekend, Rentrak announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is The Martian with $21.5 million, Bridge of Spies at No. 3 with $15.4 million, Crimson Peak at No. 4 with $12.8 million and Hotel Transylvania 2 at No. 5 with $12.3 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Pan at No. 6 with $5.9 million, The Intern at No. 7 with $5.4 million, Sicario at No. 8 with $4.5 million, Woodlawn at No. 9 with $4.1 million and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials at No. 10 with $2.8 million.
