LONDON, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Chevalier was named the Best Film of the 59th BFI London Film Festival at an awards ceremony at London's Banqueting House this weekend.
The comedy was helmed by Athina Rachel Tsangari.
Robert Eggers' The Witch earned the Sutherland Award for Best First Feature at Saturday's gala, Variety reported.
Jennifer Peedom scored the Grierson Award for Best Documentary for Sherpa, while Shai Heredia and Shumona Goel shared the honor for Best Short Film for An Old Dog's Diary.
A screening of the biopic Steve Jobs closed the festival Sunday.
