LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Married Oscar-winners Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez are penning the music for Disney's upcoming adaptation of the fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk."

Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter announced Friday the Spain-set, animated movie Gigantic is set for release in 2018.

"We hope this will be the definitive version of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' ... with comedy and deep emotion," director Nathan Greno told the media gathered at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The film follows Jack as he discovers a world of giants hidden in the sky and befriends one -- an enormous, 11-year-old girl named Inma.

The Lopezes created the music for the Disney blockbuster Frozen.
