This time around the comedy duo head to Miami to track down a drug lord played by Benjamin Bratt.

The film directed by Tim Story also stars Ken Jeong, Olivia Munn and Sherri Shepherd.

While discussing the sequel, Ice Cube spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how they plan to differ this film from the original Ride Along.

"It's so lazy to just rely on the first one," Ice Cube said. "The challenge was to make a whole 'nother movie. We just went bigger and better with the action. We wanted to turn up the comedy, do things people haven't seen. We have to ride that into new jokes and situations and make it seem like the relationship is moving forward - not relying on what we relied on in the past."
