'Ant-Man' is a box-office giant with $58M in North America

LOS ANGELES, July 19 (UPI) -- The comic-book adaptation Ant-Man is the No. 1 movie in North America this weekend, Rentrak announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 in the United States and Canada for the period of July 17-19 is Minions with $50 million, followed by Trainwreck at No. 3 with $30.2 million, Inside Out at No. 4 with $11.7 million and Jurassic World at No. 5 with $11.4 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Terminator Genisys at No. 6 with $5.4 million, Magic Mike XXL at No. 7 with $4.5 million, Gallows at No. 8 with $4 million, Ted 2 at No. 9 with $2.7 million and Mr. Holmes at No. 10 with $2.5 million.
