LOS ANGELES, May 29 (UPI) -- Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart star in a red-band American Ultra trailer. The 31-year-old actor portrays Mike Howell, a stoner convenience clerk unaware he is also a deadly sleeper agent. The character and his girlfriend (Kristen Stewart) must go on the run after he is activated and the government orders his termination.

American Ultra is directed by Nima Nourizadeh (Project X), and co-stars Connie Britton (This is Where I Leave You) as the agent who activates Mike. Topher Grace, John Leguizamo and Bill Pullman also have roles.
Eisenberg and Stewart previously collaborated on Greg Mottola comedy Adventureland (2009). The actor is best known for The Social Network, and will portray Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Stewart came to fame in the Twilight series of films, and last appeared in Still Alice with Julianne Moore. The actress is scheduled for Equals with Nicholas Hoult, and she and Eisenberg will both star in an upcoming Woody Allen film.
