LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- Last week, the first official photo of Jared Leto's Joker look from Suicide Squad was released, but yesterday the actor posted a photograph on his Instagram revealing his body transformation for the character.
Leto, usually with a thinner fisique, can be seen in the picture with bulging biceps and protruding veins.
This isn't the first time the actor did a drastic body transformation for a character. For his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club, Leto lost 40 lbs for his role as a transsexual.
Other stars signed on for the film are Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Scott Eastwood, Viola Davis and more. Ben Affleck was photographed for the first time on set yesterday, where he will be reprising the role of Batman.
Fans may need to wait a while to before they see the actor's complete transformation as the Joker on the big screen. Suicide Squad is set for release Aug. 5, 2016.
