'Inside Out,' 'Mad Max: Fury Road' to screen at the Cannes Film Festival

CANNES , France, April 16 (UPI) -- Woody Allen's Irrational Man and George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road are among the features scheduled to screen out of competition at France's Cannes Film Festival.

Other highlights will include showings of the animated movies Inside Out and The Little Prince. Todd Haynes' Carol is to screen in competition, as will Gus Van Sant's The Sea of Trees and Denis Villeneuve's Sicario.

Emmanuelle Bercot's La Tete Haute [Standing Tall,] which is also competing, will open the prestigious French film festival. The event is to run from May 13-24.
