'Tomorrowland' trailer viewed more than 500,000 times on YouTube in 24 hours

Starring George Clooney and Britt Robertson, the movie is to hit theaters May 22.

LOS ANGELES, March 10 (UPI) -- The second trailer for director Brad Bird's upcoming science-fiction picture Tomorrowland has been viewed more than 500,000 times since it was posted on YouTube Monday.

The 2-minute, 30-second clip for the live-action movie offers another glimpse of the mystery adventure starring George Clooney, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie. The movie is to hit theaters May 22.

"Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank, jaded by disillusionment, and Casey, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as 'Tomorrowland,'" a synopsis said. "What they must do there changes the world -- and them -- forever."

The movie was penned by Bird and Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof from a story by Lindelof, Bird and Jeff Jensen. The movie co-stars Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson.
