LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Mark Ruffalo took to Twitter to share a Hulk poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron on Thursday.

The 47-year-old actor is posed to smash as the enraged green superhero, with what appears to be Ultron (James Spader) and his ilk in the background. Robert Downey, Jr. shared a poster of himself as Iron Man on Wednesday, a day after the official film poster debuted on Facebook.

Ruffalo first portrayed Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, in The Avengers (2012). Trailers for the upcoming sequel appear to show the character take on Iron Man in Hulkbuster armor, and the actor recently admitted he is "the loose cannon of the group" to Empire magazine.

"He's more like an atom bomb," he said of the volatile superhero. "You could guess where he's going to go but he could go either way. I think that there is, obviously, the day when everyone expects it to go wrong and that day comes. And they're ready."

Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters May 1. Ruffalo last appeared as real-life late wrestler Dave Schultz in Foxcatcher, and is also scheduled for Spotlight with Rachel McAdams and Michael Keaton, and Now You See Me: The Second Act with Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe.
