Rob Schrab to direct 'LEGO Movie' sequel

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Warner Bros. has announced Rob Schrab will helm the second installment of its LEGO Movie franchise.

Schrab is a comic-book author and illustrator and co-creator of The Sarah Silverman Program. He has also directed episodes of Community, Parks and Recreation, and The Mindy Project.

"@CommunityTV's @RobSchrab has signed on to direct the upcoming sequel to #TheLEGOMovie! We're so pumped up!," @TheLEGOMovie tweeted Tuesday night.

"So excited to be working with @RobSchrab on LEGO 2!" Chris Miller posted in his own Twitter message.

Miller and his filmmaking partner Phil Lord co-wrote and -directed the original LEGO Movie, which was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2014. Miller and Lord are writing and producing the sequel.
