LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Martin Scorsese's Bill Clinton documentary has been shelved after reported conflicts over content between Scorsese and the Clinton camp.

The director and the former president have reportedly been having issues over control of the content of the documentary and how it will impact the Clintons' careers. There is a rumored fear that the documentary could negatively affect Hillary Clinton's impending presidential campaign in 2016.

Clinton reportedly asked to pre-approve all questions and even see a final cut -- demands Scorsese was not willing to meet.

Matt McKenna, spokesman for Clinton, said the assertion the documentary was delayed due to conflicts over control is "inaccurate."

"It's not happening soon, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen," said an HBO rep.
