LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Jennifer Aniston isn't upset by her Oscar snub for Cake.

The 45-year-old actress joked about being passed over Monday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Aniston's performance as a woman struggling with chronic pain failed to earn her an Academy Award nomination, but the star said she is in awe of support for the film.

"I'm the number one snubbed," she quipped. "[The movie] hasn't even come out. That's the crazy thing. We're so shocked and amazed that we have had this much love at all for a movie that hasn't even been released yet."

Aniston was nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for her portrayal of Claire Bennett. Her acting was praised by many critics, but the film holds a 44% rating on website Rotten Tomatoes. The movie opens in theaters Jan. 23.

Angelina Jolie also failed to be nominated for directing new WWII film Unbroken. Aniston praised the actress last week for doing "a gorgeous job" with the movie, and dismissed rumors of a lingering feud with the star over Brad Pitt.
