LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Jennifer Aniston had nothing but high praise for Unbroken, the World War II epic directed by Angelina Jolie, her ex-husband Brad Pitt's new wife.

"I think that's slowly coming to an end. I really do," Aniston told Entertainment Tonight about the media speculation surrounding her alleged rivalry with Jolie.

"I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful and she did such a gorgeous job. I think that it's time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness," Aniston continued. "It's just tiresome and old. It's like an old leather shoe. Let's buy a new pair of shiny shoes."

Jolie and Aniston are both on the awards-show circuit this season for their respective films. Aniston's performance in the drama Cake also has been widely hailed.

Neither Aniston nor Jolie earned an Oscar nomination last week for their work, however.
