Juliette Binoche stars in trailer for 'Nobody Wants the Night'

Binoche will star with "Babel" actress Rinko Kikuchi and "In Treatment" actor Gabriel Byrne.

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Juliette Binoche stars in a first trailer for Nobody Wants the Night.

The 50-year-old French actress portrays Josephine Peary, the wife of real-life Arctic explorer Robert Peary. The film sees Peary search for her husband in Greenland in 1908, and come to an understanding with his Inuit mistress, Allaka (Rinko Kikuchi).

Miguel Barros wrote the script, with Isabel Coixet as director and David Varod as executive producer. Gabriel Byrne, Matt Salinger, Velizar Binev and Ciro Miro also star, and the movie will open the Berlin Film Festival on Feb. 5.

"I'm very pleased that Nobody Wants the Night will open the 2015 Berlinale," festival director Dieter Kosslick said in a statement. "Isabel Coixet has created an impressive and perceptive portrait of two women in extreme circumstances."

Binoche is known for such films as The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The English Patient and Chocolat. She most recently appeared as Sandra Brody in Godzilla, and is scheduled for The Clouds of Sils Maria with Kristen Stewart and Chloe Grace Moretz and The 33 with Cote de Pablo.
