NEW YORK, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Rebel Wilson met with director Paul Feig to discuss Ghostbusters III.

The 28-year-old actress revealed as much in an interview Wednesday on Today. Wilson told host Matt Lauer she is being considered for the female-led film, but said no commitment has been made.

"Look, I have had a meeting, but who knows?" she said. "They have to look at the script when it's finished ... I would [do the film even] without the money truck. I'd do that for free. I probably shouldn't say that live on TV."

Ghostbusters III languished for years without progress, but is expected to begin production in 2015. Feig, who directed Wilson in Bridesmaids (2011), will helm the film, with Melissa McCarthy also rumored to star.

Wilson is known for portraying Brynn in Bridesmaids, and Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect. The actress will reprise the role for Pitch Perfect 2, and is scheduled for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb with Ben Stiller and Grimsby with Sacha Baron Cohen.
