LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Anna Kendrick sings in new audio from Into the Woods.
The recording features the 29-year-old actress singing "On the Steps of the Palace" as Cinderella. Kendrick will portray the princess opposite Chris Pine as The Prince in the upcoming Disney film.
Into the Woods is directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago), and based on the Stephen Sondheim musical of the same name. The story follows the childless Baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) as they attempt to lift a curse placed upon them by The Witch (Meryl Streep).
Kendrick previously revealed her version of Cinderella will have modern sensibilities, and said the character isn't one to rely on The Prince. Johnny Depp co-stars as The Wolf, with Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood, MacKenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel and Daniel Huttlestone as Jack.
Into the Woods opens in theaters Dec. 25. Kendrick will reprise Beca Mitchell in Pitch Perfect 2, and is also scheduled for Get a Job with Miles Teller, The Hollars with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Digging for Fire with Orlando Bloom.
