LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- An upcoming Steve Jobs biopic set to be penned by Aaron Sorkin has encountered yet another hiccup as Sony decided to drop it. According to Deadline, Universal Pictures will take over of the film, an adaptation of Walter Isaacson's biography about the late Apple co-founder.

The movie, which will be directed by Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame, first encountered problems in October when actor Leonardo DiCaprio bowed out from playing Jobs over scheduling conflicts with his upcoming adventure drama The Revenant.
Oscar-winner Christian Bale was set to take over for DiCaprio, but the deal never came to fruition.
Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain have also been associated with the movie. Rogen is reportedly in talks to co-star as Steve Wozniak, the man that co-founded Apple with Jobs, while Chastain is being eyed for an unspecified role in the drama.
