'Harry Potter' stars heading to Orlando for three-day fan event

BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Harry Potter film franchise stars Robbie Coltrane, Michael Gambon, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps and Evanna Lynch are to participate in a special three-day fan event at Florida's Universal Orlando Resort.

Hosted by Warner Bros. Entertainment, the 2nd annual A Celebration of Harry Potter is to take place Jan. 30 to Feb. 1.

The festivities will include question-answer and autograph sessions with the Harry Potter movie talent, panel discussions and demonstrations by behind-the-scenes artists.

"Guests can also experience Harry Potter's world for themselves by visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter -- Hogsmeade at Universal's Islands of Adventure and the all-new The Wizarding World of Harry Potter -- Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. Vacation package guests and those with a park-to-park ticket will also be able to board the iconic Hogwarts Express and enjoy a unique journey as they travel between King's Cross Station and Hogsmeade Station," a news release said.

Each of the seven Harry Potter books by author J.K. Rowling has broken sales records, with the series to date having sold more than 450 million copies worldwide and been translated into 77 languages. The film adaptations produced by Warner Bros. Pictures have grossed more than $7.7 billion to date worldwide at the box office, making Harry Potter the largest-grossing movie franchise in history.
