LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner could reunite on the big screen for the first time since 1991's Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country in the upcoming film Star Trek 3.
Badass Digest claims to have obtained a copy of the film's script and reports it contains a scene in which Nimoy and Shatner would reprise their Star Trek parts as Spock and James T. Kirk respectively.
Nimoy has reprised his role in the franchise's two previous reboot films -- Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness -- but Shatner has yet to do so. The 83-year-old actor has reportedly expressed interest in participating in the new films, but a scene that was written for him for 2009's Star Trek was dismissed before shooting began.
Shatner rose to fame in the mid 1960s for his role as the commander of the Federation starship USS Enterprise. Actor Chris Pine has been portraying the character in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot films.
