LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Academy Award winning actor Robert De Niro and former Disney star Zac Efron are set to co-star in the upcoming film Dirty Grandpa, Universal and QED announced Friday.
The comedy will be written and directed by Dan Mazer and financed by QED. Barry Josephson is producing the flick.
Dirty Grandpa follows an uptight young man (Efron) who is tasked with driving his old Army general to Florida for Spring Break.
The film marks Universal's second project with the 26-year-old actor and follows the box office hit Neighbors, where Efron co-starred alongside Seth Rogen. The film brought in $268 million worldwide.
De Niro is currently filming another comedy, The Intern, opposite Anne Hathaway and Efron is working on the Max Joseph film We Are Your Friends.
