TORONTO, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Bill Murray has offered his suggestions for the cast of Ghostbusters III.

The 63-year-old Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II star is not involved with the sequel, but told the Toronto Star he supports a female-led cast.

"I'm fine with it," Murray said. "I would go to that movie, and they'd probably have better outfits, too."

"Melissa [McCarthy] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster," he opined. "And Kristen Wiig is so funny -- God, she's funny! I like this girl Linda Cardellini [of Mad Men] a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there."

Paul Feig is rumored to direct the movie, and previously worked with McCarthy and Wiig on Bridesmaids. Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II director Ivan Reitman is involved with the third film, and told the Huffington Post he believes Feig will land the job.

"I know the studio is negotiating with Paul, and I think it's probably going to work out," he revealed. "There were always going to be women involved in the next iteration of Ghostbusters. Paul seems to be the perfect director to sort of bring that about."
