CULVER CITY, Calif., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- George Clooney is to direct a big-screen adaptation of Hack Attack, journalist Nick Davies' account of the British phone-hacking scandal at the heart of Rupert Murdoch's media empire.
The film will be produced by Clooney and Grant Heslov through their Smokehouse production company for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Shooting is slated to begin next year.
