LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow paid tribute to Richard Attenborough Monday on Twitter.

The 37-year-old director posted a picture, presumably from the set of the new movie, of a statue of Attenborough as John Hammond. The actor portrayed the character in the original Jurassic Park (1993) and its sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997).

Hammond is the founder and CEO of InGen, the bioengineering company that created the theme park and cloned the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar. Attenborough, who was well-known for the role, died at age 90 on Sunday.

Jurassic World is the fourth movie in the Jurassic Park franchise, and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins and BD Wong. The film is scheduled for release June 12, 2015.
