A Juilliard hopeful tries to find the will to live in 'If I Stay' trailer

"If I Stay" hits theaters August 22.

LOS ANGELES, July 31 (UPI) -- A cello player and Juilliard hopeful (Chloë Grace Moretz) finds herself faced with a difficult decision after a car accident leaves her in a coma in the upcoming film If I Stay.

Mia (Moretz) has an out-of-body experience after being in a car crash that killed her family. As she looks down on her life, she must decide whether to leave or fight to stay alive so she can stay with the boy who loves her, Adam (Jamie Blackley).

If I Stay is based on the best-selling novel by Gayle Forman and hits theaters August 22.
