NEW YORK, July 8 (UPI) -- Despite playing a singer-songwriter in the new movie Begin Again, Keira Knightly says she doesn't listen to music.
In an interview with TIME, the actress said she only went to her first concert because her bother liked the band and her parents bought tickets.
"I don't really listen to music. I know nothing about it at all. Everybody around me is completely obsessed by music and I don't have that thing. I think my brain doesn't quite work in that way. That's what I kind of really enjoyed about this was to try and get my head into the mind of a person who does express themselves emotionally and creatively through music because I don't."
Knightley stars with Adam Levine and Mark Ruffalo in Begin Again, which hit theaters June 27.
