LOS ANGELES, June 24 (UPI) -- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles released a new official trailer on Tuesday.

The footage features more action than previous clips, and sets up the conflict between the turtles and Shredder. "This is our city," the ninjas declare. "Like shadows in the night, completely unseen."

The reboot is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) and produced by Michael Bay (Transformers). Megan Fox stars as reporter April O'Neil, while Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello) and Peter Poszek (Leonardo) bring the turtles to life in a motion-capture capacity. William Fichtner portrays the villainous Shredder, a ninjutsu master aided by his loyal Foot Clan, and Danny Woodburn appears as Splinter, the turtles' adoptive father and martial arts master.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres August 8 in theaters. The movie has also released new posters that feature each of the four turtles.
