Eva Longoria and Ed Harris star in 'Frontera'

A man trying to make a better life for his wife and unborn child is accused of murder.

LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Ed Harris stars as a former Arizona sheriff who investigates his wife's death after an undocumented immigrant is wrongfully accused of her murder in Frontera.

Michael Peña plays Miguel, an undocumented immigrant who is arrested for shooting the sheriff's wife (Amy Madigan).

The film also stars Eva Longoria as Miguel's pregnant wife who lands in the hands of "coyotes," smugglers who illegally take people over the border.

Frontera is directed by Michael Berry and will be in theaters September 5.
