LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) -- Jon Voight couldn't be more proud of granddaughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt in Maleficent.

The 75-year old actor spoke to Us Weekly at The Wrap's First Annual Emmy Celebration over the weekend, and had nothing but good things to say about the 5-year-old's acting debut. Vivienne stars as the young Princess Aurora alongside mother Angelina Jolie as the title character in Maleficent.

"Magnificent," he said of his granddaughter. "She's wonderful. It was a very lovely moment to see Angie with her on screen, and they were terrific together. It was just great."

Jolie made her own acting debut alongside her father in Lookin' to Get Out. Voight starred as Alex Kovac in the 1982 film, and a 7-year-old Jolie makes an appearance as his daughter Tosh at the end of the movie.

"It's the most wonderful thing when you see your little granddaughter, just like when I saw Angie on the screen," the actor continued. "It was really a knockout to see her. I'm telling you, it was great."
