Vanessa Hudgens dyes her hair turquoise

Hudgens posted a photo of her new look on Instagram, and included a quote from the novel "White Oleander."

LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) -- Vanessa Hudgens has a new, blue hairstyle.

The 25-year-old actress and singer recently dyed her hair a greenish-blue hue. She previously had a blonde ombré, which served as the base for her new shade of hair.

The star took to Instagram over the weekend to share her look with her fans. She included a quote from Janet Fitch's novel White Oleander as the caption.

"She would be half a planet away," the actress quoted. "Floating in a turquoise sea, dancing by moonlight to flamenco guitar."

Hudgens will next appear in the comedy-horror film Kitchen Sink. The movie is scheduled for release on January 9, 2015.
