LOS ANGELES, May 26 (UPI) -- Lucy, the new action film starring Scarlett Johansson, will be heading to theaters two weeks earlier than studios originally announced.
The film, directed by Luc Besson, is scheduled to be in theaters July 25. It was originally slated for an Aug. 8 release.
Johansson portrays the title character in the film, who acts as a drug mule for a sinister Taiwanese company. Lucy gains superhuman intelligence and strength after she accidentally ingests the drug she is carrying.
