Shailene Woodley cried while getting her hair cut for 'The Fault in Our Stars'

Woodley cut her hair in August for her role as cancer patient Hazel Grace Lancaster in the upcoming flick.

LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- Shailene Woodley ditched her long honey blonde hair for a stylish pixie cut last August a she prepared for her role in the blockbuster adaptation of author John Green's novel The Fault in Our Stars.

While the actress has been gushing about how much she loves her new short hair, a newly release clip of the day she cut it finds her crying as she feels the scissors on her locks.

"I have to see it! I have to see it!" she tells her team after the hairstylist chops the first strand. "I might cry so hard." She does.

The 22-year-old actress stars as cancer patient Hazel Grace Lancaster in the upcoming flick. The story follows Woodley's character as she falls in love with a boy from her cancer support group.
