The revisionist adaptation is said to be a dark origin story that follows the orphan Peter (Levi Miller) after he is spirited away to Neverland. Peter Pan was originally a character created by Scottish author J.M. Barrie in 1902.

Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund and Rooney Mara also star as Blackbeard, Hook and Tiger Lily, respectively. Production begins April 28.

Pan is scheduled for theatrical release on July 17, 2015.
