'Hobbit' sequel tops DVD and Blu-ray sales chart

'The Wolf of Wall Street' is the week's top rental.

LOS ANGELES, April 21 (UPI) -- The fantasy epic, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak announced Monday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the sales roster for the week ending April 13 is Frozen, followed by The Pirate Fairy at No. 3, August: Osage County at No. 4 and Grudge Match at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are 47 Ronin at No. 6, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues at No. 7, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones at No. 8. The Wolf of Wall Street at No. 9 and Walking with Dinosaurs at No. 10

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ending April 12 is The Wolf of Wall Street.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is No. 2, Gravity is No. 3, American Hustle is No. 4, 12 Years a Slave is No. 5, Homefront is No. 6, Frozen is No. 7. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is No. 8, Out of the Furnace is No. 9 and Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is No. 10.
