LOS ANGELES, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- 20th Century Fox is developing the popular fantasy-themed card game "Magic: The Gathering" as a possible film franchise, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Writer-producer Simon Kinberg, who has previously worked on "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" movies, is to produce the "Magic" adaptation, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Hasbro's Brian Goldner and game creator Wizards of the Coast's Greg Leeds will also serve as producers on the project, THR said.
