Paul Walker's remains claimed from coroner's office, report says

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Actor Paul Walker's remains have been removed from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office and transported to an undisclosed mortuary, TMZ reported.

Walker's family members are now making plans regarding how and when the actor will be laid to rest, the celebrity news website said.

The "Fast and Furious" star died Nov. 30 when the Porsche Carrera GT he was riding in as a passenger crashed into a tree and pole in Santa Clarita and burst into flames.

The 40-year-old actor's remains had to be identified through dental records. An autopsy indicated he died of traumatic and thermal injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
