NEW YORK, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Kristen Bell says she and her new husband Dax Shepard didn't go on a post-wedding vacation because they want their whole lives to be their honeymoon.

Bell and Shepard began dating in late 2007 and were married Oct. 17 at the Beverly Hills, Calif., County Clerk's Office. The couple are parents to a 7-month-old daughter named Lincoln.

Asked by reporters in New York recently why she was promoting her new animated movie "Frozen" instead of enjoying a honeymoon with her spouse, Bell replied, "My honeymoon will be the rest of my life.

"No, that's for real," the 33-year-old actress said. "The whole reason we didn't want to have a wedding or even a celebration, which was a tough pill for our families to swallow, but I politely reminded them: 'If you want a party, you can throw a party, Okay? I don't need to throw your parties. Have a party.' But we really, genuinely wanted the celebration of our unity to be the rest of our lives. And so, we didn't want to A. waste a bunch of money on one party or B. have the celebration contained. I think the idea of weddings -- in my opinion, I don't fault any girl for whatever she wants -- but in my opinion, I see it getting out of control and it's not what I would want. A. I'd prefer the cash and B. I feel like that's why we did it tiny and at the courthouse. We want the rest of our lives to be that party."

Co-starring Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad and Santino Fontana, "Frozen" opens nationwide Nov. 27. In the PG-rated film, Bell plays Anna, the bubbly sibling of Idina Menzel's Elsa, a queen with uncontrollable magic powers related to ice.

Bell is best known for her roles on TV's "House of Lies" and "Veronica Mars," as well as the films "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Couples Retreat."
