'Cloudy 2' finds clear skies atop weekend box office

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- The animated "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" ate up the weekend box office with $35 million in receipts.

"Prisoners," with Hugh Jackman Jake Gyllenhaal, fell to No.2 with $11.27 million after leading the box office last weekend.

All studio estimates of North American box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"Rush (2013)" was third with $10.314 million; "Baggage Claim" fourth with $9.3 million; "Don Jon" fifth with $9 million; "Insidious Chapter 2" sixth with $6.747 million; "Instructions Not Included" seventh with $3.380 million; "We're the Millers" eighth with $2.865 million; "Lee Daniels' The Butler" ninth with $2.417 million.

And "Enough Said" was 10th with $2.115 million.
