The Houston Chronicle reported Swayze, the mother of the late film star Patrick Swayze, suffered a stroke Sept. 8.

Patsy Swayze's big-screen choreography credits include "Urban Cowboy," "Liar's Moon" and "Hope Floats." Among her students were Tommy Tune, Debbie Allen, Randy Quaid and Jaclyn Smith.

Swayze also worked with her son and daughter-in-law, Lisa Niemi Swayze, on the 2003 film "One Last Dance."

Lisa was a teenage student at Patsy's dance studio when she met Patrick, the Times noted. The couple married in 1975 and were still together when Patrick died of pancreatic cancer in 2009.
