'Epic' tops DVD sales chart

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- The animated adventure "Epic," featuring the voices of Colin Farrell and Amanda Seyfried, is the top-selling DVD in the United States, Rentrak announced Monday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales roster for the week ending Aug. 25 is "Olympus Has Fallen," followed by "Oblivion" at No. 3, "NCIS: The Tenth Season" at No. 4 and "Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Third Season" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Scary Movie V" at No. 6, "Killing Season" at No. 7, "GI Joe: Retaliation" at No. 8, "The Big Wedding" at No. 9 and "Duck Dynasty: Season 3" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended Aug. 24 is "Olympus Has Fallen."

"42" is No. 2, "Mud" is No. 3, "The Big Wedding" is No. 4, "Admission" is No. 5, "GI Joe: Retaliation" is No. 6, "Scary Movie V" is No. 7, "Identity Thief" is No. 8, "Bullet to the Head" is No. 9 and "Killing Season" is No. 10.
