'Butler' leads box office for second weekend

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- "Lee Daniels' The Butler," starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey, led the box office for the second weekend with $17.018 million in receipts.

"We're the Millers," with Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston, was second with $13.5 million.

All studio estimates of North American box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" was third with $9.3 million; "The World's End" fourth with $8.942 million; "Planes" fifth with $8.567 million; "Elysium" sixth with $7.1 million; "You're Next" seventh with $7.05 million; "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" eighth with $5.2 million; "Blue Jasmine" ninth with $4.3 million.

"Kick-Ass 2" was 10th with $4.27 million.
